The CNBA Foundation Inaugural Gala Launches

Fairfield Halls was rocking last Thursday night to celebrate the legacy of Carl N Beatson-Asiedu and the launch of the foundation in his memory.


Patrons bow their heads as the Reverend gave a heart felt speech


24th October At Fairfield Halls, Croydon saw the inaugural launch of the CNBA Foundation which is the organisation founded by the family and friends of Carl N Beatson-Asiedu, a Croydon entertainer and community champion.


“The CNBA Foundation aims to provide solutions in the funding of education of young people in the arts that Carl enjoyed whilst also developing a two-way system of support in Talking Therapies both in providing funding for scholars and community support.” - D.A Miller

The Night


The night was kicked off by a CNBA Foundation patron and childhood friend of Carl, Joel Beya, founder of Cheeky Sport and England football journalist who was the host for the night.



This was followed by a word of prayer by the Reverend Narh, who warmed the room with a powerful prayer and history lesson on Carl.



Next came the statement of intent by Dwayne Miller, a Foundation representative who reminded everyone of the impact Carl had on his life and the lives of many in the community. The speech was summarised which Miller detailing the purpose, direction and plans of the not-for-profit organisation charitable intentions.



Entertainment was present throughout the night, with traditional Ghanaian dance (in line with Carl and his families Ghanaian heritage) supported by Polo Soleri on the decks, a rapturous performance by Shae Universe and a thought provoking word from Poetic Unity leader Ragz. Croydon star Rachael Anson brought the night to a close with an exclusive DJ set lead off by 'Charmz' underground hit 'Buy Out The Bar'.



CNBA representative Ephraim Morgan gives a solo speech on the impact Carl had on his life and the inspirations it caused as a result.
